Teen Queen Contest

Entries must be received by July 1st, 2008

 

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  1. Contestant must be female and a resident of the state of Missouri for not fewer than 6 months immediately preceding July 15th 2008.
  2. Contestant must be a BOONE COUNTY RESIDENT.
  3. Contestant cannot be (or ever have been) married, pregnant, or have any children.
  4. Contestant must be between the ages of 12 and 16 as of September 1st 2008.
  5. The Boone County Fair Teen Queen will relinquish her title if she enters into a marriage contact or becomes pregnant or if she chooses to cohabitate with a male in lieu of a marriage contract.
  6. For purpose of scoring all decisions will be left up to the panel of independent judges, in event of a tie in points the contestant with the most points in the interview section of the competition will be placed first.
  7. Conduct deemed improper and detrimental to the Boone County Fair or a contestant will be reason for disqualification and dismissal by the contest chairman.
  8. If contestant has already held the title of Boone County Fair Teen Queen she will be ineligible to participate in future Boone County Fair Teen Queen Competitions, but can participate in the Boone County Fair Queen Competition.
  9. A Sponsorship fee is required to enter in this competition, an appropriate sponsor is any local business or organization.

OBLIGATIONS:

  1. If crowned teen queen this year you will be expected to ride in the parade in 2009 for the opening of the fair along with 2009’s contestants.
  2. All contestants that are entering in 2008 will be expected to ride in the fair parade on Saturday morning, July 19th, 2008.
  3. All contestants will also be expected to attend a mandatory luncheon following the parade (this is where the interviews with the judges will take place) and attend a mandatory rehearsal for Monday evening’s competition that afternoon at the fair grounds on Saturday, July 19th, 2008.
  4. The Teen Queen will attend the Boone County Fair Ham Breakfast on Saturday July 26th 2008. **This is an early morning event**
  5. The Teen Queen will be presented at the Boone County Fair Society Horse Show at different times the week of the fair.
  6. We recommend that the Teen Queen be present during certain events the week of the fair.
  7. If possible it would be appreciated if the Teen Queen could make an effort to be at the fair at some of the shows during the day to help hand out ribbons to the different exhibitors.
  8. Miss Boone County Fair Teen Queen will be expected to make appearances throughout the year to help promote 2009’s competition.

A COMPLETED ENTRY WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  1. $50.00 non- refundable Sponsorship fee (make checks payable to the Boone County Fair)
  2. Official entry form and contestant information form (filled out completely and signed)
  3. We will contact you as soon as your application is received to get a current picture to use in all promotional items before and during the Boone County Fair.
