Children's Barnyard
Monday, July 21st through Saturday, July 27th, 2008
The Children’s Barnyard is a place where the young and young-at-heart can get closer to Missouri agriculture. The Barnyard includes a number of livestock displays as well as grain and other products from Missouri farms. Children have an opportunity to interact with grains and see corn, soybeans and wheat first hand!
The Barnyard also includes lots of information on Missouri agriculture so everyone will leave with a better idea of this industry that is so important to our state.
Visitors to the Barnyard should note that it is not a petting zoo. You are asked not to touch the animals; they are not pets, but purpose animals.
The Barnyard is located just north of the Multi-Purpose building and west of the Pork Producers building and is open each evening, Monday through Friday from 4:00pm to 9:00pm and Saturday 2:00pm to 9:00pm.
**Daycare groups are invited to the Barnyard for organized tours on Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Tours can be arranged by calling 474-9435.
